Most mornings, I make my own decaf espresso at home and have dialed in the ritual. Exactly 18 grams of unground beans requires measuring, and this Subscale dosing cup with dot matrix style LED readout is a game changer and saves counter space and a few extra steps. Highly recommended.

I could watch Tumblewords draw and explain how they make ambigrams all day. What a unique blend of typography, calligraphy, puzzle solving, and creativity all in one.

Ben Thouard shoots some of the most incredible photographs of ocean waves and surfing you'll ever see.

Future Knight is a new, 2D shoot ‘em up game that takes the aesthetic of those primitive LCD games from the 80s and ramps it up with better animations and an original story. I had a Q*bert watch when I was a kid and I would've just about flipped my lid if it looked anything like this.

This Week’s Poll

Last week I asked which sci-fi show (from a small list of my favorites) is best, and Silo is currently leading. Not a bad choice in the bunch and I can get behind that winner. If you haven't watched Dark yet, it's incredible if you can stick with it and don't mind subtitles.

Danmade This Week

I finally pulled a limited run of letterpress prints here in the garage studio (Ed. note: garudio?). I had a plate made of my old Measure Twice art featuring my Paint Factory typeface. Thought it would look nice on French Paper Co.'s “Lemon Drop” 100 lb. cardstock. Never perfect, always a-okay. I'll get these trimmed up and signed and into the Goods shop very soon.

I've also been working on my model-train-inspired font, Flyrail, this week and settled on making it a five-weight family. This one feels good, and I'm already imagining many fun uses for it. More updates soon!
