MTV Rewind is an ad-free website that collected over 35,000 music videos navigable by decade or category, with quick prev/next buttons and other nostalgia. A gift to any of us who grew up watching.

Lego is making a new Smart Brick that packs a battery, chip, lights, and other tech into standard little 4x2 bricks. They can wirelessly interact with each other and activate lights and sounds along with regular bricks and holy wow this is pretty neat tech.

Impossible Corners are giant wall stickers that, when placed just so in the corner of a wall and ceiling, create crazy optical illusions like floating cubes and other M.C. Escher-esque tricks. I feel like this would go over gangbusters in any dentist's office.

🎬

Last week I mentioned watching the classic movie, Grand Prix, and later found this great article that specifically digs into Saul Bass’ legendary visual contribution to the film and how Bass’, “...montage in the opening title sequence of GRAND PRIX (1966), is the consummate masterpiece of excellence in graphic design, sound editing, and visual delight.” Also sobering to read how, “10 of the 32 drivers featured on screen were killed over the subsequent 10 years.”

Normally at this point in the newsletter I'd tell you about something I'm working on, or maybe subtly pitch or announce something new going on in the studio, but today (and this is becoming a pattern)...nothing feels all that important compared to what's happening in the real world.

Stay safe and stay hopeful. But stay fierce.
