Inspired by the pirates of the Atlantic, Captain Edward is an all-caps display serif. Named after Captain Edward Teach—otherwise known as Blackbeard. The font takes cues from Cooper Black's lighter-weight siblings as well as inspiration from the rugged New England coast, where Blackbeard and other pirates terrorized the high seas. Includes numbers, basic punctuation, diacritics and support for some European languages—plus a few bonus alternate swashy characters and glyphs (K, L, Q, R, X, +, #, &) in both Regular and Rough styles.
The download includes OpenType, TrueType, WOFF, and WOFF2 file formats. I can’t wait to see what you design with it.
